XLARN is a nostalgic look at the old rogue genre. Whilst it doesn't stand up to modern games, it is still a piece of very valid gaming history.
An opportunity to manage an evil cult in this creepy, atmospheric management sim. Turns out I have quite the talent for murder.
Fidel Dungeon Rescue is a simple indie strategy game where you get from point A to B in your journey to rescue your human. Of course, the path is filled with monsters and traps, and you can't go over your own path, so good luck!
Aven Colony is a colony simulation game that will scratch an itch for those who enjoy the genre; but has some flaws which leave it a little frustrating and make the price tag questionable.
Voxel block strategy city / kingdom builder, complete with invading vikings, dragons and ogres!
Oxygen Not Included (Early Access at time of review) is a base building colony management simulator. Heavy on the micromanagement and controlled by physics, it's a lot of fun. If you like that kind of thing.
This is a relaxing casual strategy game where you walk your dog in the park, dig up collectibles and read the description. Doesn't sound like much, but it's well designed.
Warstone TD is an interesting Tower Defense game that includes the additional strategy of a town with lots of unlocks. It also has co-op maps, and multiplayer PvP maps! Grab a friend!
The Wild Eight is a post-apocalyptic survival game. Scavenge, craft, explore and fight - alone, or in co-op with friends! Review written in Early Access.
Dead Exit is a strategy based card game in which you manage survivors and resources. Fight the zombie hordes, alone, against or with other players.
Survive the zombie apocalypse in this turn-based management strategy. Use your survivors to scavenge, craft and protect whilst you figure out how to escape.
This free to play title offers a great deal of play without spending any money. I managed to rack up 70 hours when my son was a newborn. Available on Steam and Mobile.
This is an old school real time city builder, with a campaign and sandbox. An early access success story too!
A deep simulation where you build a prison - and can then try and break out of it! I love it.
This is an early access simulation / kingdom builder / action RPG hybrid. I purchased it three years ago, and although progress has been made, it's still too flawed for me to recommend at the moment.
An interesting, albeit somewhat simple post-apocalyptic survival journey. Cute graphics and a lovely soundtrack accompany scavenging and crafting as we search for the future along a river.
This base / resource management game is a bit of a combination between This War of Mine and Fallout Shelter, with pixel graphics.
An interactive flash-card style "true or false" fact game. Good for kids or as a drinking game. Not for both at the same time, please.
A cool and quirky little survival game that'll appeal to those who enjoy resource management and strategy.
An interesting take on spider solitaire, with a fantasy setting and some RPG elements. A little grindy and a lot of RNG but definitely a unique card game.
